Committee on Culture and Education

The Committee in Culture and Education heard, on 3 December, presentations of the European Capitals of Culture 2024.

On 3 December, the Committee on Culture and Education had an exchange of views with Ms Barbara Butragueño, Deputy General Director for Women and Sports at the Spanish Higher Council for Sports and Mr Georg Haeusler, Director of Culture, Creativity and Sport at the European Commission .

On 3 December Mr. Balázs HANKO, Minister of Culture and Innovation, Mr. Zoltán Viktor MARUZSA, State Secretary for Public Education, and Mr. Ádám SCHMIDT, State Secretary responsible for Sport, presented the work of the Hungarian Presidency in the fields of education, culture, youth and sports.

On 3 December the Committee on Culture and Education had a debate with the European Commission, DG EAC on accessibility in the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes, in the framework of the Disability Rights Week in the European Parliament.
