Founded in 2012, Samidoun serves as an affiliate for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a terrorist organisation proscribed in the EU, US and UK. Samidoun operates a network from Brussels and held a rally last year in front of Parliament calling for the defeat of Europe, the US and Israel by means of ‘Kalashnikovs, rockets and bullets’.
Samidoun actively supports Hamas by disseminating and glorifying Hamas terrorist murders of Jewish people and by celebrating the rape, torture, execution and kidnapping of civilians. Samidoun and Hamas share the same aim of liquidating Israel ‘by any means necessary’, specifically terrorism, with the active help of Iran.
A major conference held in Parliament in March 2023 called for the EU to add Samidoun to its list of proscribed organisations. In October 2023, Germany announced its intention to ban Samidoun due to its demonstrable links to Hamas. Will the Vice-President of the Commission / High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy propose adding Samidoun to the EU’s list of terrorist organisations?
