2. Negotiations ahead of Parliament’s first reading (Rule 71) (action taken)

The President announced that no request had been received on behalf of a number of Members or a political group or groups reaching at least the medium threshold concerning the decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations as announced in the minutes of Monday 7 June 2021 (minutes of 7.6.2021, item 9).

The REGI Committee had therefore been able to initiate the negotiations on expiry of the deadline laid down in Rule 71(2).
