Rule 88 : Simplified Treaty revision

1.   In accordance with Rules 46 and 55, the committee responsible may submit to Parliament, in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 48(6) of the Treaty on European Union, a report containing proposals, addressed to the European Council, for the revision of all or part of the provisions of Part Three of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

2.   Where Parliament is consulted, in accordance with Article 48(6) of the Treaty on European Union, on a proposal for a decision of the European Council amending Part Three of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Rule 87(2) shall apply mutatis mutandis. In that event, the motion for a resolution may contain proposals for amendments only of provisions of Part Three of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
