Open Door Days 2025 are officially underway. While registering for the next academic year typically doesn't take place until early spring, now is the time to start considering your options. Over the next several weeks, schools will be welcoming prospective students and their families to tour their campuses, explore and sit in on classes. The goal is to find the right fit. The decision may feel overwhelming, especially with so many choices at hand. This guide will help narrow your search, with a selection of upcoming Open Days to mark in your calendars.

Global Preschool

Duhovka ZŠ and MŠ

Explore Duhovka’s unique Czech-English Montessori programs. The school will host Open Door Days at its Preschool and Nursery in Prague 6 on Feb. 4 and April 15 and at its Prague 1 branch on Feb. 28 and April 8. You can visit its international elementary school campus in Prague 6 on March 6. Experience a typical school day, meet the staff and get all your questions answered about the admissions process. 

Maple Bear Praha

Maple Bear Praha, which offers a bilingual education that combines Canadian teaching methods with Czech standards, has a number of upcoming events planned for prospective students and their families. The school inspires children to learn through play, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and language fluency. You can meet the director on Jan. 20 or attend a school presentation at Café a trsátka on Feb. 5. Open Days will be held on Feb. 25, March 5 and every Wednesday in March.

Maple Bear Brno

Maple Bear Brno offers a unique bilingual education blending Canadian teaching with Czech curriculum standards. The school’s approach aims to build students’ confidence by nurturing creativity, critical thinking and language skills through play-based learning. Open Days will be held on Jan. 28, Feb. 27 and March 13, allowing you to tour the campus and meet the teachers. You can also attend model classes for Pre-K and Grade 1 on Feb. 4 and 6, respectively. 

Grammar schools

EDUcanet

Gymázium's NextGen program offers a four-year grammar school experience that combines modular learning with thematic blocks, allowing students to connect knowledge across disciplines. Starting in the third year, students specialize with 12 hours per week in their chosen focus and 4 hours of advanced IT, deepening to 20 hours per week in the fourth year, with options like university preparation. The NextGen Leaders track emphasizes bilingual academic excellence, while the NextGen Professionals track integrates the AP Program for internationally recognized certifications. This program equips students with the skills and confidence to excel in higher education, careers, and life.

Fostra Elementary School

Fostra Elementary School is opening its doors to prospective students and parents on 29th January, 4th, and 5th February, offering a glimpse into its unique bilingual Czech-English program. The school combines a supportive environment with a focus on individual development, aiming to equip children with the skills they need for the challenges of the 21st century. PBIS hosts a number of Open Days at its three Prague campuses throughout the year. The first of 2025 will take place at its Libuš campus on Jan. 30 at 3:30 p.m. This is a great chance to explore the school, meet teachers, and learn about their family-centered approach. Park Lane

Park Lane International School is inviting families to its IB Centre at its Malá Strana campus on Jan. 23. Attend presentations on the school’s mission, the IB Diploma Programme, and university applications. You'll also get a chance to see classes in action, take a student-led tour, and enjoy a coffee at the Fresh & Tasty bistro with a stunning view of Prague. BASIS

French Lycée

Lycée Français de Prague will open the doors of its Smíchov campus to interested students and their families on Feb. 18 and March 13 at 3:30 p.m. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the school’s French-based curriculum and see how it fosters a global, independent and responsible mindset in students. With a student body of 40 different nationalities, the school offers education for children aged 3 to 18. 

Gymnasium Livingston

Gymnasium Livingston is hosting open evenings on Jan. 21 and Feb. 4, 11 and 18 at 5 p.m. to give potential students and their parents a chance to explore its unique Czech International program, which allows students to study for both their Czech Maturita and start with Cambridge IGCSEs. Cesta k úspěchu

The English College in Prague / Anglické gymnázium

The English College in Prague invites prospective families to its Open Day on Wednesday, 5th February 2025, at ZŠ Elektra (Sousedíkova 1044/8). Visitors will tour the school with a student guide, observe lessons, and meet the Headmaster, Dr. Nigel Brown, the SLT team, and Admissions Registrar Mrs. Stanislava Jirešová, who will provide details about the admissions process and entrance exams. COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

SEG – “Study in Switzerland”

The Prague School of Creative Communication (PSCC) has an Open Day on Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. Explore the campus and learn more about the English bachelor programs in marketing, visual arts and creative writing. PSCC offers a blend of academic excellence and practical training, with opportunities for internships and hands-on projects. Can’t make it? Prague Film School

Prague Film School is hosting an Open House on Feb. 10. You can join individual campus tours throughout the day or attend a formal presentation about its filmmaking and acting programs at 3 p.m. Whether you're interested in narrative filmmaking, documentary production or acting, the school offers full-time courses for students from all backgrounds who are 17 and older. UNYP (University of New York in Prague)

UNYP is hosting open days throughout January, February, and March. Learn about student life, scholarships, visa support and accommodation options. You’ll get firsthand insight from current students and alumni and get all your questions answered. Virtual open days are set for Jan. 29, Feb. 19, and March 5 & 19. Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE)
