Are you looking for free tax help?

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free tax help for taxpayers who qualify.

These services are a reliable and trusted source for preparing tax returns. All VITA/TCE volunteers who prepare returns must take and pass tax law training. The IRS also requires a quality review check for every return before filing. Each filing season, tens of thousands of dedicated VITA/TCE volunteers prepare millions of federal and state returns.

To locate the nearest VITA or TCE site to you, use the IRS’ VITA Locator Tool1 or call 800-906-9887.

1Current listing is not exhaustive. Many more VITA sites are registered near the tax season’s onset.
