Brazilian Benefits Card Company Improves Security and Availability in the Cloud with Fortinet Solutions

Vólus is a Brazilian payment company specializing in the benefits card market, fleet management, and corporate expenses. With a large network and 10,000 companies in its client portfolio, Vólus faced challenges in boosting system availability and tightening network access. Amidst rapid expansion, the company also needed to upgrade its information security policies to comply with stringent financial and data protection standards.
To help address these challenges, Vólus deployed FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) to protect its on-premises data centers, public clouds, and branches. With a large number of partners and third parties accessing its network remotely, Vólus has deployed a FortiGate NGFW virtual machine (VM) to protect its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment, supported by zero-trust network access enabled through the FortiClient Endpoint Management Server (EMS). Meanwhile, the company has implemented Fortinet Secure SD-WAN for communication between its on-premises data centers and OCI environment. With Fortinet, Vólus has put in place a cost-effective, high-performance network capable of meeting exacting customer requirements for secure, real-time payments processing.
