Regional Supermarket Chain Builds Its Digital Transformation on the Fortinet Security Fabric
Download Case StudyCub is an operator of 80 grocery stores and pharmacies and 31 Cub Wine & Spirits and Cub Liquor stores across Minnesota and Illinois. The company was burdened with aging network infrastructure that made it difficult to meet customers’ needs and support new ways of working. It therefore set out to modernize its entire network focusing on improving employee and customer experience while enhancing its security posture.
With a managed service provider, Cub found Fortinet and embarked on its project to converge networking and security with a single vendor to ensure rapid rollout and ease of management over the long term. The retailer’s solution centers on FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), FortiSwitch enterprise switches, and FortiAP access points. A wide range of other Fortinet solutions are also integrated, centrally managed, and work together via the Fortinet Security Fabric. The resulting network transformation is delivering a number of benefits such as improved employee productivity, simplified management, and better visibility into network security risks.
"Retail is fast becoming a technology business. But our evolving digital applications and innovations are first and foremost reliant on a secure, high-performance network. Thanks to Fortinet, we will have just that.”
