Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee provides digital and financial literacy classes, job training programs, and career coaching and hiring events, which it funds through its popular thrift stores. Protecting the personal information of clients is a key concern, but the organization was hampered by legacy security systems that were poorly integrated and inefficient.
To achieve better integration and performance across its WAN security stack, the organization turned to Fortinet. Today, Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee uses FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) to protects each location’s LAN edge, supported by the FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services. FortiSwitch secure Ethernet switches provide LAN connectivity, and Fortinet Secure SD-WAN connects the organization’s sites. FortiAP access points provide wireless access within the Goodwill stores and other locations, while FortiExtender provides integrated 5G/LTE wireless WAN connectivity.
