Five commissioned works will be on display during the Georgetown BID’s annual free outdoor public light art experience, returning during the holiday season for the first time since 2019; also to feature walking tours, a silent disco, and more ‘Merriment in Georgetown’ programming.

The two-month seasonal celebration expands for its eighth edition, with public light art installations throughout the commercial district.

Presented by the Georgetown BID, this year’s weekly “Fan Favorites” series is back after a two-year hiatus.

Georgetown Heritage is welcoming a new Canal boat to Georgetown for the first time in a decade, with a ribbon cutting, boat christening and celebratory event on April 28 before public programming commences.

The 19th annual springtime open-air market will feature sidewalk sales from 25+ small businesses, food, strolling performers, and music.

More than 15 Georgetown small businesses are celebrating cherry blossom season with storefront decorations and specials, plus an outdoor letterpress demonstration & spectacular cherry tree gardens.

More than 35 Georgetown businesses are participating, offering shopping discounts, cooking classes, hotel packages, walking tours, craft workshops, a cat-cuddling party, and more.

The team will focus on tenant attraction and retention, and continued recovery efforts.

Festivities include gift guides, holiday market, neighborhood bonfire, DC’s largest outdoor ice skating rink, holiday lights competition, Georgetown cookie tour, 25 days of holiday cocktails, and more.
