Over the years, some great movies have been made against the backdrop of Christmas that fans love to revisit year after year. As for its other three bids, Wicked is forecasted to lose Best Film Comedy/Musical to Anora, Cynthia Erivo will miss out on Best Film Comedy/Musical Actress in favor of Anora‘s Mikey Madison, and Ariana Grande will be beaten in the Best Film Supporting Actress race by Emilia Pérez‘s Zoe Saldaña.

Frankly, the show was boring even though it did seem like an interesting premise with four female journalists on the presidential campaign trail. Of course each of them is also dealing with personal conflicts. Though overall, they weren't interesting enough to keep us invested in the story.

Zoe Saldaña and Kate Winslet connect easily, as colleagues who haven’t seen each other in a while often do: They worked together on James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water,” which was released in 2022, and will also appear in next year’s third film, “Fire and Ash.” Saldaña had created the role of Neytiri in the first “Avatar” in 2009, and Winslet — a Cameron veteran, of course, from “Titanic” — joined the ensemble as the character Ronal, a shaman and warrior.

Winslet recalls the warm environment Cameron established during the films’ rehearsal period, and “that sense of collaboration and willingness to share and listen and to invite ideas.” Saldaña agrees, and says, “It’s crazy what you can do when you’re given an unlimited amount of resources to put a character together. It’s the most rewarding process.”

Variety has learned exclusively that the celebrated writer and producer has extended his overall deal with the premium cabler for a further three years. The news comes as Ingelsby is currently prepping the limited series “Task” at HBO, with that show set to debut in 2025.

Ingelsby has been based at HBO since 2021, the same year that “Mare of Easttown” debuted. Ingelsby created that limited series in addition to serving as executive producer and showrunner. The show, which followed a murder investigation in a suburb of Philadelphia, marked Ingelsby’s television writing debut.

Bectu, the UK’s creative industries union, has launched the country’s first registry for intimacy coordinators.

The registry will provide a list of intimacy coordinators currently working in film and TV with a certain level of experience.It can be used by productions to find the appropriate professional and also aims to promote safety standards.

The registry is administered, supported, and hosted by Bectu, in collaboration with the British Film Institute (BFI).

To be eligible, individuals must haveat least three years of professional experience and/or training in the relevant field with at least five paid credits working as an intimacy coordinator.
