After making his first home made movies in his early 20's, Darroch went on to acquire an M.A. Honours Degree in Film, Television & Theatre at the University of Glasgow in 2000.
An experienced film-maker and actor, he has received over 30 international awards and nominations for short film-making over the years.
A long term vegetarian, Darroch also has a background in conservation and environmental campaigning. His debut feature length eco-drama, "Good Intentions", was picked up by U.S. distributor BayView Entertainment in 2020 and is available on DVD, Prime Video and Apple TV+.
He also runs the award winning video production company, Oak Tree Productions.
