This ends on a rather ordinary note. Alfred is featured and he finds himself in the hands of Red Claw. She has commandeered some missile silos and is going to blow up London. The problem is that she needs the launch code, which Alfred can provide. Like most of the villains, she seems to have a plethora of people who are aiding her in her efforts. Alfred does manage to call Bruce and soon he and Robin are on their way. There is a little give and take and a few close calls. Nothing out of the ordinary. This show didn't end with any true finality, but assumes that there are things to come. But that was it. I've enjoyed the animation and the tight little plots, but since it was marketed for a juvenile audience, things never got fully resolved.
Harvey Bullock is an incredibly unlikeable character. He sees Batman as a threat to his old fashioned police methods. He is a huge slob who blunders his way through cases, although he is quite successful. When he believes there is a hit out on him, he turns to Batman for help. But he is ungrateful and disgusting. It is assumed that a guy he sent to jail years ago is seeking revenge. This is an old fashioned police story with a neat little ending. I just noticed there is only one episode remaining on the subscription service I use. I'm curious why this ended here. I'm assuming it was relatively popular in its day. Anyway, this was a nicely done episode and has some pretty cool animation with the Bullock character and his slovenly existence.
The cat came back, the very next day. We thought she was a goner but the kitty came back, cause she couldn't stay away. Catwoman is trying to mend her ways. Batman is proud of how she has managed to put aside her propensity for theft. But when some gangsters connect with her, she gets dollar signs in her eyes. She is so good at thievery, that she doesn't realize she is being used by these guys, particularly the ventriloquist guy and his dummy gangster. There are a few scenes that work, but for the most part it is just old hat. We knew she was going to go back. And Batman, who is actually in love with her, has to make a choice.
