Gulinqing virgin forests is located in the southwest of Maguan County, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. With forest area of 115.87 square kilometers and forest coverage rate of 67%, it is well known as a natural oxygen bar.
In Gulingjing Nature Reserve, there are eight species of plants under primary state protection, such as shorea chinensis, hollong, eleutharrhena and taxus yunnanensis. Burretiodendron hsienmu, Cyathea, Caryota urens and other 27 species of second-class provincial protected plants can be found here too. In addition, four provincial-level secondary protected plants and 13 tertiary protected plants are flourishing here.
