It's that time of year again: Time to roll back to the basics with fitness and Apple wants to help you get back on track with the annual release of new Fitness+ benefits. Among the new additions Apple announced on Thursday are new meditation themes, new workout programs, new and expanded access to Time to Walk content, more workout music, and more ways for people to access Apple Fitness+, even without a subscription. Apple Fitness+. Apple The most exciting bit is the addition of free Apple Fitness+ subscriptions for Anytime Fitness membership holders. Here's how it works: If you try national gym franchise Anytime Fitness for free, you can get up to three months of Apple Fitness+ for no cost. If you decide to become an Anytime Fitness member and sign up for a "qualifying 12 months+ membership," you'll also get the first 30 days of Apple Fitness+ membership at no cost. Pretty sweet deal. If you already have Apple Fitness+, though, you're not left out in the cold. This year, Apple plans to add plenty of new content, including workout playlists in the Artists Spotlight that lead up to the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, which features Usher. Starting with Rihanna (who was last year's Super Bowl headliner), Apple plans to release new Artist Spotlights every week. Britney Spears and U2 are also included in the lineup. And of course, in February, Usher will round out the series. Apple Fitness Plus Time to Walk. Apple Apple will also add to its Time to Walk content library with new episodes from Al Roker, Trixie Mattel, Lilly Singh, Common, and Colman Domingo. The company is also making some Time to Walk episodes available through Apple Podcasts, so you won't need a subscription to listen to them. No fitness app would be complete without new workouts, and Apple is adding those, too, with the new Strength, Core, and Yoga for Golfers designed by professional golfer Rose Zhang and led by Fitness+ Strength and Core trainer Kyle Ardill. A new meditation theme (Sound) and a new achievement award round out the annual update. Apple Fitness+ subscriptions are $9.99 per month for a standalone subscription, or $79.99 per year. Additionally Fitness+ is included in the Apple One Premier plan, which is $37.95 per month and includes 2TB iCloud storage, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and Apple Fitness+. Select new devices and services come with a free trial of one to three months, depending on the Apple device or service. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
