PRO-ACOUSTICS GmbH was founded in 2006 by Christine Klockar and Ulrich Scholz as an independent engineering office based in Baden/Switzerland.

The two company founders have experience in the field of industrial acoustics based on many years of work in an international environment. In addition, both are trained acousticians with degrees from renowned universities in the field of acoustics (Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and Dresden University of Technology respectively).

Based on good knowledge of customer needs and a comprehensive portfolio tailored to the market, PRO-ACOUSTICS GmbH was able to position itself well from the day it was founded.
In addition to the technical knowledge, the focus on the needs of the customers as a basic principle of PRO-ACOUSTICS GmbH, as well as the flexibility and speed in the processing of tasks, has contributed to the fact that PRO-ACOUSTICS GmbH has been able to develop to the planned extent. PRO-ACOUSTICS GmbH offers engineering services in the field of acoustics.
Based on several years of experience and an efficient company structure, we are able to offer our customers a fast, flexible and high-quality service at good prices.
In general, we use a problem-oriented approach, i.e. it is not the resources that determine the approach, but the problem. The methods are selected according to this problem and new methods are developed if necessary.

One of our main focuses is noise and vibration protection in the industrial sector, i.e. both for workplaces and for environmental pollution in the wider environment. Here we are involved in everything from preliminary clarification with and for customers and authorities, to detailed forecasts of individual sound sources and even complete systems, right through to acceptance measurements.
We are also active in the field of sound source analysis. The first step here is a detailed analysis of sound generation and sound radiation (using measurements and theoretical considerations). On this basis, proposals for optimization can then be developed and implemented.
The employees of PRO-ACOUSTICS GmbH have in-depth experience in the above-mentioned areas, for all types of standard acoustic measurements, as well as experience with special acoustic measurements and vibration measurements. Knowledge in the field of subjective noise perception rounds off our profile.

• our own test bench to check the calibration of probe microphones in hot media (currently up to 520°C)
• Model test benches to determine the radiation characteristics of chimneys,
• A surface scan method with results similar to an acoustic camera, only for flexible applications and geometries, higher dynamics and lower hardware costs,

Historically, the engineers at PRO-Acoustics GmbH have their roots in industrial acoustics.
Our experience ranges from sound generation, sound radiation and sound transmission to the receiver. Improvements are usually possible in all areas. However, it is important to weigh up where and with what effort the best effect can be achieved.
We not only provide acoustic support for individual products, but also for entire projects. This usually begins with a feasibility study, official approval, followed by the detailed acoustic planning of complete industrial plants, through to implementation and acceptance measurements.

Building acoustics

In the field of building acoustics, we offer measurements and consultations.

The measurements are carried out according to SIA181 and ISO140. We have many years of experience in the field of building services.
Neighborhood noise as well as industrial and commercial noise do not necessarily fall within the field of building acoustics, but are professionally handled by the engineers of PRO-Acoustics GmbH . In Switzerland, the requirements for this are given by the Swiss Noise Abatement Ordinance.
Furthermore, measurements can also be carried out in accordance with the Vibration Directive.
The services of PRO-ACOUSTICS Ltd are also recognized by the municipalities in Switzerland thanks to the examination to become a certified acoustician SGA.
