Certificate of Capability

Whoever intends to professionally transport people or goods with buses, vans or trucks as of September 1, 2009, in addition to a driver's license must hold a certificate of capability for transporting people and/or goods and take regular continuing education and refresher courses.

Those who acquired a driver's license of categories C/C1 or D/D1 before September 1, 2009, or at least applied for a learner driver's license or a driver's license before this date, will obtain a certificate of professional ability without having to take examinations.

For those who already hold a driver's license, the certificate of capacity for passenger transport is needed from September 2013, the certificate of capacity for freight transport from September 2014.

Ability to order the provisional certificate of capacity lasting 1 year.

Regular training

Regular training of 35 hours over five years is mandatory for all persons holding a certificate of professional capacity, even for those who obtain the certificate of capacity without having to take examinations.
