Jean Biollay

born on March 10, 1980 in Saint-Maurice, Valais and Dad of a family of 4 children 

Determined to become a lumberjack, it was during his last year of school that he met his manual-work teacher, who introduced him to steelwork with great benefit.

A few months later, his father, who was a member of the family, decided to become a lumberjack.

A few months later, against all expectations, he began his apprenticeship as a metalworker.

It was during his 4 years of training, which culminated in an award for "best apprentice in the canton", that he developed a particular attraction for artistic creations and the unique pieces that could be made in his field.

At the age of 21, he set up his company in collaboration with a contractor specializing in high-end creations for major watchmakers. As a result, he was able to cater to a most demanding clientele with often the most extravagant requests.

Today, he practices his craft with his company and allows himself pleasure and good times with Atelier Pyrite, creating works without the constraints found in today's industry
