Disposal

Wound care

Proper wound care is essential to prevent cuts, abrasions and burns from becoming infected and leaving unsightly scars. This protects against complications and leads to rapid and optimal wound healing.

Laser treatment

We use the laser to accelerate the healing of cold sores or aphthae. With the treatment, the painful swelling subsides quickly and the unpleasant feeling of tightness under the skin of the lips disappears.

The modern laser procedure is extremely gentle on the tissue and leaves no scars. The treatment is painless or extremely painless for patients, depending on how they feel.

The morning-after pill

The "morning-after pill" is a hormone preparation that is taken as emergency contraception after unprotected sexual intercourse or after the failure of another contraceptive method (e.g. a broken condom) to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

The use of the morning-after pill is not an abortion.

Health check

For our customers we measure the blood pressure 5.00 Fr.

You will receive a blood pressure passport in which you can enter your values. We will be happy to advise you on the purchase of a blood pressure device and instruct you on how to use it precisely.

You can also have your blood sugar measured. Blood sugar should be measured on an empty stomach. Price: 12 Fr.

If you are a diabetic and are already familiar with measuring blood glucose, we will be happy to check your blood glucose meter so that you can rely on your measured values. Price: only the control solution for the corresponding device.

Pharmis

With Pharmis, the medication is packaged in hygienic weekly blister packs in the pharmacy. The imprint on the blister contains the name and address, as well as all the necessary information about the medication. This means that it is always possible to see which tablet is in which compartment on the blister.

Pharmis is suitable for people who:

• Have to take medication every day
• Want to be sure that they are taking the right medication at the right time
• Want support so that they don't forget to take their medication
• Want to take their medication with them on their trip in a practical form

Price: Covered by health insurance, provided you take at least 4 medications for at least 3 months and the prescription is noted by your doctor

In the canton of Aargau, healthy adults (aged 16 and over) can be vaccinated in pharmacies against tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), seasonal flu and, in an emergency, against diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis

FSME vaccination

Ticks can transmit various diseases when they bite, some of which can have very serious consequences. The pathogens include Lyme disease bacteria and TBE (tick-borne encephalitis) viruses. The latter is a meningitis associated with inflammation of the brain. Borreliosis is transmitted by a bacterium and TBE by a virus. While Lyme disease can be treated with antibiotics, there is no specific treatment for TBE. This can have serious consequences and in some cases even lead to death. The tick vaccination is the only protection against TBE. People who enjoy being outdoors or work in nature should therefore be vaccinated against TBE. According to the Federal Office of Public Health, over 400 cases of TBE were recorded in 2020, which is a record figure and has led, among other things, to almost the whole of Switzerland now being classified as a TBE risk area by the FOPH.

 

Procedure: You need three vaccinations for full protection against TBE: 

• 1st vaccination: Advantageous in winter so that you are protected at the start of the tick season in early summer
.
• 2nd vaccination: Approximately one month after the first vaccination. After the 2nd vaccination, a vaccination protection of 87% is achieved.
3rd vaccination: Five to twelve months after the second vaccination. This achieves up to 99% vaccination protection and protection lasts for ten years. 

In addition to the normal vaccination schedule, there is also the fast-track schedule at the beginning of the warm season. With this schedule, the second vaccination follows after just 14 days and the third vaccination again after 5 to 12 months.

Flu vaccination 

Prevention is better than cure. With a flu vaccination, you not only protect yourself, but also your close relatives and other people around you. The flu vaccination is recommended annually from around mid-November for people at risk, as well as healthcare professionals and people in close contact with people at risk.

Tetanus (DTP vaccination)

Tetanus (tetanus) is a life-threatening disease caused by bacteria. The bacteria enter the body via skin lesions and attack the central nervous system. The tetanus vaccination is recommended by the FOPH and offers almost 100% protection. In the event of acute injuries, you can visit the pharmacy at any time without making an appointment for the vaccination.

 

To prevent tetanus, it is important to treat wounds properly and to be vaccinated against tetanus.

The tetanus vaccination teaches the body to defend itself against the bacteria by building up immunity.

When and how often should you be vaccinated?

The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) recommends vaccination at 2, 4 and 12 months of age. Two further doses should be administered at the ages of 4 to 7 years and 11 to 15 years. Booster vaccinations should then be given every 20 years up to the age of 65. From the age of 65, the frequency should be adjusted to 10 years.
