History:

On April 1, 1979, Willi Hirt took over the premises of the company Schneider + Christen at Rheinstrasse 73 in Frenkendorf. He founded the sole proprietorship Willi Hirt Schreinerei.

The range of services included joinery (doors, window sills, lintel boards, paneling, etc.), custom-made furniture, repair work and furniture restoration. As a supplier to shopfitting companies, the company also manufactured furniture and fittings for upmarket shopfitting.

The range was later expanded to include textile floor coverings and parquet flooring. Curtains were also made or altered. The company's own range was expanded with furniture from external programs. Everything can be viewed in a permanent exhibition covering 400 m².

When company founder Willi Hirt passed away in January 1995, the company was continued by his wife and son as Willi Hirt Möbel-Innenausbau GmbH.

A specialty of the company are shoe cabinets and wardrobes in the modular system, which are made in various widths and wood decors with a standard depth of only 25 cm.
In order to meet the needs of future customers, we also offer original children's furniture and wooden figures. Also a desk program that grows with the child (height-adjustable desks), expandable to the office.

The staff is composed as follows: Mr. J.P. Hirt as workshop manager, Mrs. Hirt in administration, four skilled carpenters as employees in the company, as well as 2 apprentices. Apprentices have been trained every two years since 1982.

Tables and chairs must be able to grow and be expandable as children themselves and their needs increase. For over 20 years, all our work has been focused on producing ergonomic, expandable furniture of the highest quality for children and young people. The tried and tested "Young Office System Basic" was developed in collaboration with ergonomists, orthopaedists, parents and children.

• Cradle rental
  A cradle is just the thing for newborns. Security, gentle rocking and the feeling of closeness are very important for the baby in the first six months of life. Only then is it big enough for a crib. We offer you the option of renting cradles for a certain period of time. This allows you to save money and space.
