DMT has been active in the Horgen district for over 30 years. Dieter Meyer set up his own business in 1981 and moved into his first office in Kilchberg. He then moved to Zurich and later to Thalwil. In 1995, the sole proprietorship was transformed into DMT D. Meyer Treuhand GmbH. DMT Treuhand AG was added in 2000.

Dieter Meyer has been actively supported for many years by long-standing employee Ursula Betschart, and his son Andreas Meyer joined the company in 2014. In the same year, DMT returned to its roots in Kilchberg.

In 2021, Andreas Meyer took over the management of the company.

In 2023, two new faces, Arlinda Bajrami and Slawomir Jezewski, joined the company and Ms. Betschart went into well-deserved retirement.
