The patient consulting the osteopathic practice may present with medical pathologies, osteopathic dysfunctions and energetic dysfunctions.

Only osteopathic and energetic dysfunctions will fall within the scope of complementary therapies.
By questioning and examining the patient, the osteopath will exclude from his treatment medical pathologies that need to be treated by a doctor. He will look for signs and symptoms of osteopathic dysfunctions.

However, it may appear, during the initial examination or during osteopathic treatment, that the patient presents signs and symptoms of associated energetic dysfunctions.
