About us

I founded Lampi's Velo-Lädeli on June 1, 1993. My store opened its doors on June 3, 1993 in the former nursery at Hauptstrasse 18 in Lostorf. With six new vehicles in the showroom, the first bicycles and mopeds were also repaired there. The new vehicles were also prepared and delivered there. It soon became clear that this location was too small and that something bigger had to be found. A short time later, the opportunity arose to purchase the former Coiffeuerhaus at Hauptstrasse 28. After careful consideration, I took the plunge and bought the building, which was converted and furnished to suit my needs. The store space was subdivided so that a small part of the store space could be rented out. On May 1, 1994, the newly remodeled store was opened. In spring 1998, the new parking lot for repair vehicles behind the workshop was completed. The Esso gas depot was also set up on this site, enriching our product range. The tenancy of the store tenants was terminated in 2001 and the subdivision was dismantled so that the entire store area could be used by Velo-Lädeli and has remained so to this day.

For us, the decision to own a bike is a matter of attitude. Today's bike is a statement from its owner. The time when you could still recognize a good bike by the art of frame construction is long gone. Today, proven materials such as aluminum or lightweight but durable carbon are used in many cases. In order to meet the respective purpose of the customer, a high degree of skill and attention is required when processing and assembling the components. A bicycle is no longer just a bicycle, but the product of a multitude of technical and design factors that ensure that the customer receives a tailor-made bicycle. Which components we use depends solely on the customer's wishes and habits.
