Description
Welcome to the Hohenegg Private Clinic
The Privatklinik Hohenegg is one of Switzerland's leading clinics for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics. It is there for adult patients who need the best possible professional advice and individual treatment tailored to their personality in a mental health crisis. The private psychiatric clinic treats patients with private, semi-private and general insurance as well as self-pay patients from Switzerland and other German-speaking countries.
The specific experience acquired over the years makes the Hohenegg Psychiatric Private Clinic a specialist clinic for the treatment of depressive disorders, burnout and stress crises, anxiety disorders and psychosomatic illnesses. Responsibility for treatment lies in the hands of experienced specialists. The clinic offers a hotel with first-class comfort in an atmosphere in which patients feel they are in good hands.Treatment conceptAt Privatklinik Hohenegg, people are recognized for their uniqueness and understood as partners in a professional relationship. Patients bring their individual life skills to the treatment, while the therapists contribute to the success of the treatment with their professional expertise and experience.
<Course of treatment
The inpatient treatment process is divided into three clearly structured phases (stabilization, consolidation, transfer) and is therefore optimally linked to the referral and aftercare processes.
Focus of treatment
Depressive disorders
Depression often occurs in situations of stress or loss.
At Privatklinik Hohenegg, patients learn to understand these situations and to be more mindful of themselves. This promotes well-being and self-acceptance and reactivates resources.
Burnout and stress crisesBurnout is a time-typical, mostly work-related stress crisis in which personal reserves of strength dry up. The treatment focuses on the causes of the crisis. Those affected find their way out of the impasse and learn how to sustainably improve their external and internal life balance.Anxiety disorders
Reduce the symptoms of anxiety, lose the fear of anxiety, regain the strength to cope with life! Step by step, patients at the Privatklinik Hohenegg learn to approach these goals on their own.
Psychosomatic illnesses
The term psychosomatic illnesses encompasses illnesses that are accompanied by signs of physical suffering, without any physical damage being clearly identifiable as an explanation for the symptoms using the diagnostic procedures currently used in medical science. They are therefore also referred to as physical dysfunctions or functional diseases.
Parallel to the main areas of treatment, Privatklinik Hohenegg has further special expertise in the treatment of trauma-related disorders and body stress disorders (somatoform disorders) and dissociative disorders.
Trauma-related disorders
The aim of coping with traumatic experiences - for example accidents, disasters and acts of violence - is to integrate the negative experiences into the individual's life story in such a way that they lose their lasting threatening effect. Therapists with additional training in psychotraumatology will support you in individual therapy and/or in the resilience group, depending on your prescription.
Body stress disorders (somatoform disorders) and dissociative disorders
Somatoform and functional disorders are summarized and referred to as body stress disorders according to the new international classification (ICD 11). They are uniformly based on the fact that psychological strain (stress) primarily manifests itself through physical symptoms. Multimodal treatment therefore includes careful education about the clinical picture, a better, healthier way of dealing with stress and improved body awareness. Dissociative disorders can occur as a reaction to difficult experiences. They often occur alongside other mental disorders, e.g. post-traumatic stress disorder. For their own protection, those affected try to block out their memories of stressful experiences and thus reduce psychological stress. The stable image of their own identity is often impaired as a result.
