We are a family business, run by Peter and Annelies Sturzenegger-Frick in the third generation. Our family has been passionate about the butcher's trade since 1938. Our business is made up of three specialty meat stores - Schwellbrunn, Waldstatt and Mörschwil - as well as the Gasthaus Ochsen in Schwellbrunn. In Waldstatt, the carcasses are professionally cut, dressed ready for loading and prepared for storage. The raw cured products (Appenzeller Mostbröckli, Säntisbröckli and Appenzeller Zäuerlispeck) as well as the ham products and sausage specialties are also produced in Waldstatt.
In our Gasthaus Ochsen we cultivate a modern fresh market cuisine with regional quality and branded products. Thanks to our in-house butcher's shop, we know exactly where our meat products come from. We are known far and wide for our specialties and genuine hospitality.
