Ron van Gogh's Physiocenter Muralto takes care of your health. Physiotherapy treats diseases related to motor disorders; we do physiotherapy for adults--manual therapy, gymnastics, rehabilitation, cranio-sacral and also do physiotherapy for children, including neonatal and pediatric physiotherapy.
Osteopathy is also of interest to us: treating the person, restoring movement, or applying osteopathy to preserve movement and maintain balance and health. Treatments of physiotherapy, osteopathy, but also massage and fitness with personal trainers are practiced at the main office in Muralto and in Ascona and Vira Gambarogno.

The power of self-healing
.
In the philosophy of osteopathy, man forms a unity of body, spirit and mind with a strong self-healing power. The body's purpose is to maintain the balance of its component systems. It is a dynamic balance, that is, one that changes in response to the various stimuli and stresses to which the body is subjected (e.g., operation, trauma, childbirth, malnutrition.).
This adaptation keeps recurring throughout life, but it happens sometimes that the body fails to regain a good balance and symptoms begin to appear. And so it is clear that some problems may show up, even a long time after the traumatic event.
Gaining movement
The body remains healthy as long as all fluids are intact and tissues supple, soft, and mobile. Therefore, the possibility of movement is essential. The osteopath seeks to correct the source of the disorder, working especially where he or she finds lack of mobility. In this way, the osteopath stimulates the body's self-healing power.
Mobility is corrected on 3 levels:
PARIETAL SYSTEM
The locomotor system: the bones, muscles and connective tissue.
VISCERAL SYSTEM
The liver, intestines, uterus, bladder, etc.
CRANIO-SACRAL SYSTEM
The skull, spine, nervous system, cephalorachid fluid.

THROUGH A PERSONALIZED PROGRAM
Physiotherapy is the set of methods put in place by a specific professional, the physiotherapist, to treat a range of conditions related to a disorder of motor, upper cortical and cardio-respiratory functions.
The work necessarily starts from a careful analysis of the elements that characterize, in the individual, the events that led to the suffering and its modes of expression, both clinical and cognitive. Therefore, it is first of all a matter of carrying out an evaluation of elements related to the physical disturbance (impairment), the effect of this on functional activities (disability or deficit), the limiting consequences in work, social activities, etc. (handicap), attributing a more or less marked value to aspects related to purely bodily factors.
The work is then carried out in order to assess the impairment's impact on the individual's health and cognitive status.
Following this, the sensations reported by the patient himself are taken into consideration with respect to the location, extent, intensity, and quality of the complaints, with possible verifications, clarifications, and specific insights. Already all these initial elements help guide the planning of the clinical evaluation and subsequent therapeutic intervention by the physical therapist. Clinical evaluation that takes place through highly specific active and passive motor and functional tests and trials, chosen according to a precise investigation strategy that is gradually being formed and articulated simultaneously with the collection of information and as a result of it.

PhYSIOTHERAPY FOR CHILDREN
The neonatal and pediatric physiotherapist deals with problems inherent in psycho-motor development from 0 to 16 years of age.
The pediatric physical therapist is the specialist in the field of prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of the neuro-psycho-motor and respiratory systems in childhood.
The therapist helps young patients move to the best of their abilities through play and fun.
Through close collaboration with osteopaths, we can give special attention to conditions that may slow down a child's (baby's) regular development, preventing him or her from exploring his or her environment to the fullest extent

We also offer home treatment in case it is not possible to come to the studio.
