The company has been in existence since 1893 and has made a name for itself in the field of thermal and acoustic insulation.

The company's history began quite unspectacularly with the purchase of land in Affoltern near Höngg in spring 1893 by Carl Schmidt from Germany. In the same year, roofing felt production was started and continued as the main activity for over 80 years until 1977.

Finally, it was replaced by the licensed production of "Siang" brand sound-absorbing materials. A short time later, the range was supplemented by the manufacture of "Thermo-Plus" brand thermal insulation.

Broad range

Today, Süssmann AG employs 25 people and has further expanded its range. In addition to the aforementioned products for soundproofing and thermal insulation, the company also carries out flat roofing, structural waterproofing and moisture insulation and trades in the corresponding products. Süssmann AG is also a competent partner and manufacturer of products for the thermal insulation of basement ceilings and translucent facades.

We have developed the THERMO-PLUS and THERMO-PLUS COLOR insulation panels to meet the high requirements of heat insulation for basement ceilings on the one hand and behind translucent façade cladding on the other.

Waterproofing

We have been waterproofing buildings for generations. We are happy to share our extensive knowledge with clients, planners and engineers at any time. With around 20 employees, we carry out all waterproofing work on new buildings and renovations.

Our services include waterproofing flat roofs, terraces, underground garages, laying foam glass insulation, we take care of roof maintenance (also possible on a subscription basis), we organize plumbing work, green roofs and carry out all types of pavements.
