About us
The new face of bSONDERig is us, Yvonne and Ralph Frischknecht, with our two sons Louis and Dean.
The four of us are an innovative host family, where hospitality and good food are our top priorities.
We are here for you with our team, full of enthusiasm and passion.
The bSONDERig restaurant is a dream come true for us and we can hardly wait to share our impressions with you.
If we are not available at bSONDERig, you can always meet us at the Landgasthof Sternen Bühler.
Culinary delights
It is said that those who do not enjoy are inedible. That's why we place great emphasis on enjoyment
As the name Frischknecht suggests, our dishes are prepared with fresh produce. We spoil you with traditional and down-to-earth dishes.
From Appenzeller Chääs Schopen to a sophisticated hay soup and Frischi's meatloaf, there is something for every connoisseur.
Tradition and classics
Of course, we also serve the well-known rabbit liver, as well as the cordon bleu, which our predecessor Sepp Kölbener already prepared excellently.
Our four main ingredients for the bSONDERig cuisine are:

We were not only allowed to take over Sepp Kölbener's restaurant, but also the production of the house schnapps "dä Grüsig".
The composition is ...... As is well known, the people of Appenzell keep their recipes to themselves.
Of course you can order and enjoy our famous house schnapps in our restaurant. For connoisseurs who are addicted to our liquid gold, we are also happy to sell 0.5 liter bottles for 20.00 Fr.
