I empathize with people and make them accomplices in a joint project. I find the "best side" - and put it in the picture.

I have been working as a freelance photographer since 1992 and have also published various books and magazines in the course of my work:

If we are still free on the day of your wedding, then nothing stands in the way of a first meeting. High-tech and manual work

The scanning process in our studio takes no more than a quarter of an hour of your time. Then the real work begins for us. Each scan is extensively post-processed and optimized several times using our proprietary processes. The optimized data is read into a high-performance 3D printer, modulated layer by layer and produced as a figure.
We then invest a lot of time and effort in the manual post-processing of the printed figure. This ensures that your personal portrait figure is a true-to-life replica of the original, i.e. you, in every detail.

This is the reason why we do not offer a quick service. We produce your 3D figurine with meticulous care and maintain quality down to the last detail. You will recognize the differences in the result. When you hold your own portrait figure in your hands, you will agree with us: the effort was worth it! Two to four weeks delivery time is not just waiting time, but an investment in the quality you deserve!

Fast and cheap or inexpensive and perfect?

The prices of PocketSize Me are fairly calculated. A look at the products of quick service providers with consistently machine-produced output makes the differences clear and underlines our credo emphatically.

We need time, take our time, rely on high-tech and manual work in the finish and thus create differences: minimal in price, maximum in result. Why should you settle for anything less?

1. book your appointment
This is quick and easy. Reserve your preferred date for yourself, for your family or for any desired group. With our reservation tool, you can book your appointment online.

2. Scanning in the studio
The scanning process is similar to photography in the early days. Scanning takes a few minutes and the person being scanned must stand still and not move. Details on the scanning process can be found in our FAQs.

3. post-processing scan
The completed scanning process produces a figure made up of millions of polygons (i.e. a grid). We post-process this raw version using several software programs to make the sculpture printable.

4. 3D printing
The figure is modulated by the high-performance printer in numerous passes layer by layer (mixture of plaster, vinyl, polymers, ceramics) and coated with the texture color. This process takes between 50 minutes and several hours, depending on the size of the figure. It also takes at least 90 minutes to dry out.

5. manually uncovering the figure
The finished 3D printed figure now lies dried in a bed of loose composite material. It must be carefully separated (dug out) and exposed.

6. remove material
The figure is still very vulnerable at this stage and must be handled very carefully: Brushes, brushes and compressed air are used to remove excess material.

7. detail work & finish
The tools for removing the loose composite material become finer and finer. The figure is freed of all loose particles and lovingly reworked by hand.

8. curing
The cleaned and still very fragile figure is now ready for final processing. In the next step, it is hardened with superglue. This makes it more resistant and the colors can shine in full vibrancy. After the curing process (approx. 1 week), the figure is finished and ready for presentation.

9. pick up your figurine
Your personal 3D figurine is waiting for you. We send it to you by post, you pick it up from us - everything according to your wishes.
