For over 40 years, our work has been our passion, and that is why we are only happy when our customers are happy as well. Ours is a family business and for this reason we pay the utmost attention to ensure that our work is done in the best possible way.

The warehouse and offices located in Vira Gambarogno on the shores of Lake Maggiore were built in the 1950s and after a period of disuse were converted to a boatyard in the late 1970s.

From its founding back in 1978 under the name Acquamondo, the boatyard, which is also one of the first to be established on Lake Maggiore and in Ticino, has been run by the Santomauro family, which then took it over in 1985.
 

Since its inception, the shipyard has continuously expanded and evolved, and currently, thanks to the experience gained in over 40 years of activity and a qualified and motivated team, we manage over 150 boats and have two sheds used for boat storage.

In 2010, Santomauro SA, seeking to offer its clients an increasingly complete and accurate service, and looking for new synergies with a complementary sector to the boating industry, acquired Boerlin Lavori Subacquei SA, a leading company on Lake Maggiore in the underwater work sector.
We therefore also take care of everything related to the mooring of your boat, such as the laying and maintenance of buoy installations, the custom construction of docks and hauling facilities, the maintenance of marinas, and much more.

We also have a boat equipped for emergency response in case of breakdown.

Underwater work

In 2010, we acquired the underwater works company Boerlin SA and thus we also offer a range of services related to this sector such as: buoy plant inspections, underwater ROV searches and inspections, vessel recoveries, custom construction of floating and fixed docks, construction and maintenance of hauling facilities on rails or by hoisting and much more.
