The VIGANELLO PHARMACY is a special place where family tradition merges with modernity and innovation. Founded in 1955, it was the first pharmacy in Viganello and is an important reference point for the citizens of the town and surrounding areas, not only for its wide availability of traditional medicines but especially for the wide range of complementary therapies it offers.

 

The pharmacy moved next door to the post office in the 1970s, and since then it has continued to grow and develop, becoming larger and better stocked. The current owner's mother worked until 2011, when due to health problems she handed over the reins to her daughter, who has continued to carry on the family tradition with passion and dedication.

 

The VIGANELLO PHARMACY is a place where one can find trained and knowledgeable people ready to provide advice and support freely and without appointments. The pharmacy has a wide range of traditional medicine, but also innovative and complementary solutions, such as phytotherapy (recognized at the Swiss level as a reference pharmacy), Schüssler salts, Bach flowers, orthomolecular medicine, homeopathy, aromatherapy, spagyria and gemmotherapy. The presence of a part-time pharmacist specializing in these areas offers free consultations on remedies and individual preparations. The pharmacy team consists of 13 employees, 6 of whom are full-time, including pharmacists specializing in different therapeutic areas. VIGANELLO PHARMACY is also a training company with two apprentices per year, which demonstrates the attention and importance to the younger generation.

 

VIGANELLO PHARMACY offers a wide range of free services, such as home delivery, pharmacy dressings, injections and vaccines, blood glucose and blood pressure measurement, also for a fee intolerance testing, preparation of weekly dosettes, cholesterol and vitamin D measurement. It is very attentive to proper medication management and public health: for this reason, it offers free pickup service of expired or unused medications with proper disposal.

 

Collaboration with numerous physicians in the area enables the pharmacy to provide a comprehensive and integrated service, including support for patients on methadone therapies. In addition, the pharmacy offers a rental or sale service of orthopedic accessories, inhalers, blood glucose devices, crutches, aerosol devices, breast pumps from the Medela company, baby scales, wheelchairs, and walkers. The customer card allows you to accumulate points and get a CHF 15 voucher upon obtaining 500 points. No fees are charged for prescription medicines purchased directly by the customer.
