Description
The ZSO Wettingen-Limmattal, a modern, efficient and cost-effective organization, has continued to develop in line with the new legislation. On July 1, 2001, the three municipalities of Neuenhof, Killwangen and Spreitenbach merged to form ZSO Limmattal. Three years later, on January 1, 2004, the municipality of Würenlos was also incorporated. ZSO Wettingen-Limmattal was created on January 1, 2014 from ZSO Wettingen and ZSO Limmattal and at the same time, the largest of the contracting municipalities, Wettingen, took over the function of lead municipality. The municipality of Bergdietikon was added on January 1, 2017.
The ZSO Wettingen-Limmattal is governed by a municipal contract. The Civil Protection Commission - the link between the ZSO Wettingen-Limmattal and the municipal authorities - is made up of one representative from each of the participating municipalities, the ZSO commander and two of his deputies. The commission decides on the strategic direction of our organization and ensures political backing.Floods, power outages or pandemics - we prepare ourselves constantly and meticulously for these and other events so that we can offer the residents of "our" municipalities and our partner organizations the support and care they need at all times in the event of an incident.Important basics and informationPopulation and Civil Protection Act, BZG
