Her genes harbor a great passion for creativity, which she infuses into faces with enthusiasm, attentiveness and care in equal measure. Chantal René was born in Kinshasa (DRC) and grew up in Switzerland. After training as a hairdresser for 3 years, she lived in Los Angeles, where she worked successfully as a hair stylist, before returning to Zurich.

In 1991, she learned the art of make-up artistry at the Complexion International School in London. Years later, she also trained as a make-up artist with Klaus Börmert in Germany. She has also been teaching as a freelance lecturer at Glossarium Makeup&Hair Academy in Basel for several years, where she shares her knowledge and many years of experience with young future hair&makeup artists.

The references prove her right: Chantal René has worked with international fashion designers. Celebrities such as Tina Turner and Ray Charles have already entrusted themselves to her, as have Victoria's Secret top models Lais Riberio, Chanel Iman, Karoline Kurkova, Irina Shayk and Andreja Pejic.

Chantal René was born in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which has been instrumental in her creative expression and joy in "face painting".  After completing a 3 year course in hairstyling in Zürich, she relocated to Los Angeles where she worked professionally as a hairstylist, before returning to Zürich. Shortly thereafter, she went to England to study at The Complexion International School in London, where she learnt her craft as a makeup artist, and later honed her skill in stage and special effects makeup in Germany.

Chantal is presently teaching at Glossarium Academy in Basel, where she is sharing her knowledge in makeup and hairstyling with young adults.  She is also working as a makeup artist/hairstylist for many international fashion photographers, and offers private workshops in makeup.
