As an official specialist partner of HPS, we have the privilege of offering the Picea 2 seasonal storage system in Switzerland.
Picea 2 uses surplus solar power in summer to produce hydrogen from water using electrolysis. In winter, this hydrogen is converted into water and electrical energy using a fuel cell. Depending on the property, this system can achieve a degree of electrical self-sufficiency of up to 100%.
Photovoltaics
Energiewerker GmbH plans, builds and maintains state-of-the-art photovoltaic systems in compliance with all relevant standards.
We rely on high-quality, tried-and-tested products. We are happy to install products from European manufacturers wherever possible. However, we also use Chinese manufacturers at the customer's request and depending on availability.
We try to utilize roof surfaces as much as possible for optimum energy yield. The components are matched to each other to ensure safety, yield and cost-effectiveness.
The system documentation is carried out in accordance with IEC 62446 and customer service is ensured even after commissioning.
Energy management
The energy management of properties is becoming increasingly important with the decentralization and scarcity of electrical energy supplies.
The primary goal of electrical energy management is to coordinate electrical energy sources and energy consumers in such a way that, firstly, a stable energy supply is achieved and, secondly, costs are optimized.
Most properties can only generate electrical energy using photovoltaic systems. Their yield fluctuates with the amount of sunlight.
Electrical consumers can be differentiated according to the flexibility of their operation over time. A refrigeration system for food is generally not very flexible, while an electric heating system such as a heat pump heating system can be very flexible over the course of the day, provided there is sufficient thermal storage. The flexibility of the consumers also depends largely on the flexibility of the users.
An energy management system is a computer that measures and controls production and consumption. Energiewerker GmbH relies predominantly on Solar Manager. Solar Manager AG is a Swiss company that efficiently integrates a large number of devices and can optimize their consumption. Solar Manager thus makes a significant contribution to reliably supplying the property with electrical energy and optimizing costs. Solar Manager can also help to relieve the burden on public grids by breaking peaks in consumption and feed-in.
Battery storage
At the customer's request, Energiewerker GmbH equips solar systems with battery storage.
Battery storage for solar systems can temporarily store surplus solar power and thus help to increase the proportion of self-consumption. This can result in cost benefits: Instead of selling solar power to the grid operator at a low price and then drawing electricity from the grid a few hours later at a higher price, the energy is temporarily stored in a solar battery in the property. The extent of any cost savings depends largely on the production costs of the battery and the feed-in and purchase tariffs of the grid operator.
A battery storage system in conjunction with a hybrid inverter does not automatically mean that the property would continue to be supplied with electricity in the event of a grid failure. However, a battery storage system is a key element in enabling such an island supply in an emergency. For this purpose, the system must be built in such a way that the public grid is disconnected from the property in the event of a fault and the inverter regulates the grid frequency and voltage itself while drawing its energy from the PV modules and the battery. Energiewerker GmbH has experience with various such emergency power systems and will be happy to advise you.
In purely economic terms, it is often the case that optimizing self-consumption pays off better financially than battery storage.
