Digital X-ray Our clinic is equipped with a state-of-the-art X-ray machine using high-frequency technology and organ-specific automation to improve image quality, reduce radiation exposure, and minimize the number of necessary scans. In-House Laboratory We have our own laboratory for hematological and blood chemistry tests (general blood chemistry and specific values such as thyroid hormone, cortisol, bile acids, electrolytes). This enables faster diagnosis, especially in emergencies, leading to quicker and more targeted treatment. We also conduct dermatological exams (skin parasites, fungi), parasitological (Giardia, Tritrichomonas, etc.), and virological (e.g., Parvovirus) stool tests in-house. Ultrasound Our modern ultrasound equipment is essential for diagnosing abdominal organs. A key advantage of sonography over X-rays is that the sound waves used are harmless, even to sensitive tissues like those of unborn animals. Endoscopy We also offer endoscopic examinations of the gastrointestinal tract or airways as a diagnostic tool. Sometimes, surgery can be avoided, or its necessity (such as for large foreign objects) confirmed via camera. For complex endoscopies or arthroscopies, we collaborate with the Thun Animal Clinic.

Obwohl wir nach Vinelz umgezogen sind, sind wir nach den ersten Erfahrungen mit einem Tierarzt in der Umgebung, zurück nach Mümliswil, auch wenn dies für uns eine Fahrzeit von 1.25h bedeutet. Frau Bader ist 24h erreichbar, sie agiert stets pragmatisch und klar und hat das Herz auf dem rechten Fleck. Es werden nur notwendige Untersuchungen gemacht, und i m Vergleich, zu fairen Preisen. Unser Labrador Hündin Kim hatte ihr schon einmal ihr Leben , aufgrund einer Vergiftung, zu verdanken. Und das war dann auch eine Nacht und Nebel Aktion!

Blood donation appointments The Basel Blood Donation Centre is a charitable foundation and a member of the blood donation service SRK. We have a mandate from the federal government to provide blood products to the health facilities in the Basel region. To this end, we maintain a blood donation centre in Basel's city centre and a collection point in the Liestal Cantonal Hospital. We regularly conduct mobile blood donation campaigns in the municipalities. We produce the blood products in the centre and operate an immunohaematological laboratory accredited by the SAS. The donated blood is used to care for people who have suffered major blood loss following accidents or operations. It is also used to treat cancer, leukaemia or other diseases. Around 50% of the blood needed in our region is lacking. In order to cover the entire demand, we have to buy blood products from the rest of Switzerland.
