Maximilian "Maxi" Kleber (CLEE-bah) holds career averages of 7.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 block and 21.1 minutes per game in 209 games (74 starts) with Dallas. He was signed by the Mavericks as undrafted free agent on July 13, 2017, and re-signed with the club on July 10, 2019.

Kleber (6-10, 240) led the NBA outright in games played (74) in 2019-20, appearing in 70-plus games for the third time in as many seasons. He also set new career highs for scoring average (9.1 ppg), 3-pointers made (119), 3-point percentage (.373), free throw percentage (.849), rebounding (5.2 rpg), assists (1.2 apg), blocks (1.12 bpg) and minutes (25.5 mpg) for the third year in a row.

Prior to beginning his NBA career, Kleber spent eight seasons playing professionally in Germany and Spain. He was named a BBL All-Star, All-BBL Second Team and BBL Most Effective Player for Bayern Munich in 2016-17.

Kleber hails from Würzburg, Germany, the same hometown as Mavericks great Dirk Nowitzki. He has represented the German national team in international competition, including the 2014 Eurobasket qualification rounds.
