Eye on the Future Teen Video Contest

U.S. high school students, show us your science for a chance to win $2,000 cash and a trip to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. But hurry—this year’s contest ends on April 20, 2025.

About the contest

For more than 50 years, the National Eye Institute (NEI) has been on the front lines of vision research. We discover new diseases and conditions, find new treatments, and work to help all of us see a better tomorrow.

It all starts with science, and young people are the ones who will take science into the future. That’s why we launched the Eye on the Future Teen Video Contest—to encourage U.S. high school students from all backgrounds to explore science.

Create a video either by yourself or in a group (maximum of three members) about one of these three categories:

  • Science in your world
  • Science in action
  • Science in your future

The winning entry from each category will get $2,000 cash and a free trip for the entrant and a parent or guardian to visit the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland, for a day of science, networking, and fun.
