The CO2 CoolFire Trainers for Taurus T100 provide a better option for training since they generate their own CO2. Recoil components are removed and they do not return to the same position they were in before the CO2 was inserted. This allows the maintenance of accuracy over extended training sessions. Recoil events are reduced or eliminated altogether, which in turn increases the effectiveness of dry fire sessions and allows instructors to deliver more training sessions with fewer interruptions or distractions. For CO2 powered training, a standard, commercial CO2 cartridge is used, which is easily stored in a CO2 powered trainer in the gun's safe or range box. The compact size and lightweight of the CO2 cartridge also allow the CoolFire Trainer Taurus T100 to be used in training sessions for new shooters, as well as shooting courses and self-defense training. The cycle of CO2 through the CoolFire cartridge is rapid and powerful, simulating the actual firing events, while the actual firing pin strikes the training steel without firing an iodine cartridge, as both striker and piston are replaced by an isotope-coated spring. These spare parts and materials allow instructors to make necessary adjustments or repairs on a regular basis, as well as provide a "live" training environment which delivers more repetitions. Plus, the metal's heat from the action of firing steel springs, gives the shooter a better feel for the mechanics of the firearm and allows instructors to "send" the striker without firing an iodine cartridge. The recoil spring and recoil rod are easily replaced, if necessary, with the accessory springs and rod being easily replaced.
