Will this mount work on weaver mounts — 2 Answers

I just realized that this question is a year and a week old, and not just a week like I first thought, but thought I'd answer anyway, in case anyone finds the info useful. In general, items designed for use on a Picatinny rail will not work on a Weaver rail, due to the width of the locking slots/cross bars being different - Picatinny locking slot width is 0.206 in., and Weaver is .180 in. It's possible to fit a Weaver accessory that only uses one locking slot onto a Picatinny rail, but it won't actually be locked in place, and could shift in the event of an impact (heavy recoil included). Anything that occupies more than one locking slot would not be interchangeable, as the spacing between the slots is also different. Hope this helps. Good luck
