I bought this product but it doesn't come with a c-clip nor does it have a place to install one. How is the rod to stay in place? — 1 Answer

These dust covers come with a rod that is knurled at one end so it will not slip thru the hinges in the dust cover. This makes it so a c-clip is not needed to keep the rod from slipping thru the hinges. The only drawback is the cover cannot be installed unless the barrel nut is removed from the upper receiver. (Very minor issue as the upper receiver is normally completed w/ dust cover and forward assist prior to barrel install)
