Atlas bipods are an industry quality standard..... and expensive. The challenge in buying them is that each model comes with several possible features..... which are not necessarily explained in the product description. It's the codes after the name that tell you the extra features. Therefore you'll see a CAL bipod with widely varying prices...... so research before you click 'BUY'

Great bipod

Stable and durable bipod. Well made with good material. Only complaint would be the lever to tighten down the cant doesn't feel as sturdy as I would like. I hope there are aftermarket options for it.

Thought about buying a magpul bipod, but thought I’d spend a little more money for the Atlas and it was well worth it. Folds away easily and sets up with ease. Would definitely buy again.

First of all OpticsPlanet are the best. The shipping was reasonable, fast and on time. The prices are very competitive. As for as the Atlas Bipod, it’s well built and a definite upgrade to the Caldwell Bipod I was using previously.

Atlas CAL Bipod

In my opinion the ultimate bipod, next level above the Harris which I also use. Somewhat wider stance than the regular Atlas Bipod. I've found that I prefer this non panning model, have not needed the pan option. Non rotating legs help a lot when loading the bipod.

Tight tolerances

I haven't gone shooting with it yet, but I have it mounted on my 15lb custom rifle and the fit and finish is really good. With the design I figured that there would be play in it but there really isn't. The quick attach lever has a lock so you can't inadvertently loosen or have it come off your rifle. Also, per atlases videos, 1/2in dowel rods can be used as extensions which is pretty awesome.

Excellent bi-pod

I was using an inexpensive bi-pod and it worked Okay. I'm not totally unhappy with that bi-pod but a friend let me use his Atlas BT65-LW17 and wow. So adjustable and strong that once you have it set, it will stay in adjustment. I've shot prone and bench with it and immediately saw some improvement in my shots. Since I'm not loaded with money it was an expensive investment for me but if you want one, just start saving for it. It's well worth having. That quick release gives you the option of using it on any picatinny mount quickly. Make sure to read the instructions to get the most out of your Bi-pod.

  • $$$ but you certainly get what you pay for

  • Precion shooting and hunting
