This mag release seems like it is a quality product. The lever is easy to depress. HOWEVER it will not work with a POF billet lower because of the ridge around the magazine catch so I will stick with the Norgon mag release I have on it now. I will be putting it on a MILSPEC lower. Also the lever doesnt cam on the lower so there shouldnt be any marks made in the finish or wear in the aluminum like some others.
I just got mine today and i like it but it is a little smaller inside than I envisioned. It won’t hold my iPhone 6S+ in the tray unless I take off the case, and then it just barely fits width wise. I don’t think I will be able to put the items I was planning to but I will find uses for it. The case seems like it will hold up to some rough use. I like the rubber “feet” that should help it from sliding around. I wish the lid opened more than 90 degrees. The case has slots in the ends where you can use a tie down if you slide the strap through without the ratchet on it. I am a little disappointed that Pelican doesn’t mention it is not made in the USA. It is made in China and they really hid that marking on the case.
I bought this to mount my RMR onto my Remington 870. The RMR fit onto the mount just fine but then when I tried to mount it to the XS Sights rail it wouldn’t fit on. The three lugs on the mount didn’t fit into the slots on the rail. I removed the sight from the mount and used a dead blow hammer to tap it into the slots. Afterwards I remounted the sight and it seems fine. Not sure which was really out of spec but I imagine it was the mount. But for less than $30 I guess I can’t complain. Seems solid though and I will find out next week. If it holds up to slugs then I’m happy.
The Apple ear pods don’t stay in my ear at all but with these they fit awesome. They may even fit the wireless ear pods. They doesn’t get uncomfortable when wearing them for a long time. The clear ones are hardly noticeable when they are in your ear.
Set up was easy and I found videos on Hornady’s web sit to help with the die set ups. This unit is very solid and looks like it should last 2 lifetimes. The unit should produce some good quality rifle ammo. Some old reloader’s told me that a single station is best for rifle ammo if you want concentric ammo with minimal damage to the brass cases.
This is not my first SureFire product but is my first hand held light. It is typical SureFire quality whiz is excellent and it has a great beam. The low setting is good for general walking and the high setting is excellent for spotting things further out. The flashlight is comfortable to hold. The switch is a little stiff but loosens up a little after some use. I will be picking up a couple more soon.
I bought these for my USP to replace the Trijicon night sights I put on before. I was having a hard time focusing on the front one because the rear ones looked brighter so I did my research and I decided to buy these and I am really glad I did. The front one just jumps out when I draw the gun and have no problem focusing one it now. I will be replacing all my others with these one.
