From having read all the product reviews, I was quite disappointed to learn, as I was in the process of installing the grips, which was not a streamlined off & back-on task, that to change-out depleted batteries for fresh ones, you have take-off, switch-out the batteries, and then reinstall the grips... one would think that with the design team available that Crimson Trace could design, engineer and produce grips with an exterior-access battery pocket that would negate having to remove the grips to change-out the batteries and which would reliably function in the field! I sent them back and would not recommend them.

I needed a laser for my P220 for use as personal protection at home. Following research of what was available I chose Crimson Trace for its know performance and reliability. It was easy to install except I needed to use a little Scotch tape to hold the dust covers in place during installation to enable getting the screws in place. It performs perfectly and I would but other Crimson Trace products for sure.

I currently have 9 Crimson Trace products and have found all to be excellent. The grips for Sig 220 are more of the same I've previously experienced...excellent. The side activation model is best for me, as the front activation button does not naturally match my grip on large pistol, others, on smaller pistols, compact everyday carry, are fine. The lasers are bright and allow use of existing holsters and frees up rail for light attachments.
I do recommend these products.

Crimson Trace is the benchmark for handgun lasers. This is my fourth handgun unit. Easily installed, fits like original grips, bright and easily adjusted. As with other reviewers, I do not understand why a front of grip switch is missing. Time to standardize the grips to a front of grip switch.
Pros:
- Free Batteries for life
- Accurate for windage and elevation in low light
- Well-made.

Very well made useful addition to my P220. Easy to install, easy to make minor point of aim corrections. Grips are actually more comfortable than factory grips. Rather have green laser but that's nit picking. Overall the most useful improvement that can me made to an already fantastic pistol. Love it.'

I Enjoy the grips. The hole for the washers and bolts on the top half of the grip should be a bit deeper to accommodate the washer and to allow for the bolt head to be below flush with the grip itself. Getting the dust shield aligned for installment is a tiny bit of a pain. Overall a nice product.

I have 3 other CTC lasers for my pistols. This particular one I had to return because it did not operate. Thanks for the very excellent return policy of OpticsPlanet, I was able to return the grip for exchange/refund. The device itself , by past experience with CTC products is recommended.
Pros:
- doesn't require a special holster

Great product. Well made, as are all Crimson Trace products.
Works even in fairly bright light.
I like front activated better. I have the front activation version for my P226. It just seems to fit me better. But different shooters will have different experiences.

i'm using these on a P220 carry and the SAS version. for the SAS you will need to get the grip screws and washers. i had the gunsmith order them from Sig. after 300, or so rounds through both, i've had no problem and the point of impact does not appear to have changed.

Overall I am happy with this product. It was easy to install on my SIG P220 Carry. I did not have to adjust the alignment of the laser as it was spot on after install but it appears to be an easy task. I also bought a Galco holster for this gun. I had to rasp out the holster a little bit so the laser housing would not rub on the holster. This was a 5 minute project. I like the on/off switch on the handle as well for those times you don't want to use the laser. Overall a very nice product.
Pros: Good Fit.
Cons: Had to slightly modify my Galco Holster
