Just ok for $60

Mossberg 590 with heat shield and bead sight.

I did’t like the same old trench gun look without the wood furniture.

Hollow - flimsy feel. The polymer feels like plastic. Scratches easily. I painted the hogue stock a flat/ textured black before removing to store. Most likely ok for a 20 gauge jr. shotgun. The fore-grip was ok. No issues. Note: I’m biased and don’t like over molded furniture. It just had a more toy-like feel.

I wanted a customizable shock and not only a shorter LOP.
I replaced it immediately with the Magpul SGS stock and fore-grip. The 590 has remained like this since.

Improved polymer and a foam filled stock would make this stock combo work.

Nice Upgrade

Easy to install on my Mossberg 500 Persuader. Love Hogue over-molded products.
Great grip on forend...and 12" LOP buttstock is much easier to shoulder. Now, my eye-sight is straight down barrel. Reduces need for red dot. Strongly recommend this product.

Easy to install, great size for kids.

Straightforward install. Quality stock. Nothing fancy, but should be durable and looks good. My gun is an older 500A and needed a different length bolt (shorter), so be prepared for that. Also, double check your length of pull, as this is a 12". It's well-suited for kids or a small-framed adult. I didn't read closely and had to order the 14" for myself. I'll keep this one for the kids when they get old enough to join me afield. Great purchase and gave my worn out wood stock and gun a new life!

Good Quality, Nice texture

The 12” length of pull is nice for people like me (5’7). I really like the rubberized texture on the stock part where your hand is and the entire forend is rubberized for extremely easy cocking and your hands stick to it like glue. MEASURE YOUR FOREND TUBE just in case you need the nut adapter cuz I needed it don’t assume it. Like others say it doesn’t come with a bolt. You’ll need a 5/16 x 5 1/2 Hex bolt with course thread with a matching flat and lock washer. Highly recommended! Glad I didn’t go with the Magpul.

Perfect for home shotgun.

I found my grip greatly increased especially with the forend. The shorter stock lets the whole family shoot the shotgun easily. Both pieces fit perfectly and are of high quality. The set is a great value for anyone looking to improve their shotgun.

Good fit for smaller folks

Goes right on older model mossberg 500 provided you have the original full length stock bolt in the grip. It fits well for smaller folks and is very grippy on the grip, butt, and fore grip. Its durable and softens the recoil more than the oem stock. Highly recommend

Very comfortable,bought this for a friend who has shorter arms,works perfectly for him. There are much fancier stocks out there,but you cant beat the simplicity and reliability of a Hogue. The price is also very hard to beat

Mossberg reduced lop furniture

Ok for the low price and there was not a lot of other products to choose from so I guess that it's OK. The whole kit take very little time to put together and the instructions were adequate. At this point I don't really have anything else to add but the minimum amount of characters that is acceptable has been determined to be two hundred so this whole sentence is a waste of time.

Know what you'Re getting before you buy

I bought this to fit a 12GA Mossberg 500 for a 12 year old shooter. The 12 inch length of pull stock fit well and installed in minutes. The forearm was another story. It fits but does not cover the action bars leaving a gap that could pinch fingers. The slide action tube was too short to attach the nut. A call to OpticsPlanet led to a referral to Hogue. The Hogue Rep explained there is a nut extension that was not provided. For $10 plus shipping they sent the part and it arrived in a few days.
