I would recommend using a 1-piece scope mount such as the Vortex Sport Cantilever 30mm Rifle Scope Ring Mount. I own several vortex scopes, while maybe not the best, they work fine and are a good value for the price, I only wist the diamondback tactical came with a zero stop.

Not FDE. More gold. Ordered matching rings that were a true FDE. What a contrast. So if you want your FDE to match across your furniture, this isn’t your scope. Outside of the color issue, high quality, great glass, great value.
