About the project

The Challenge

The school had a student population of 1, 160 pupils. The toilets in the school were not sufficient for them. They had to queue for them to access the toilets which wasted their time.

The Intervention

 Safaricom Foundation constructed a 12-door ablution at a cost of KES 1.2 million. 6 toilets for boys and 6 toilets for girls.

The Impact

The increased number of toilets has decongested the use of toilets. Pupils no longer queue for long to use the toilets.
