About the project

The Challenge

The school’s ablution block was dilapidated. The school has one toilet that could not accommodate the high population causing congestion in the washrooms consequently compromising the level of sanitation.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Pamoja Scheme supported the school with a constructed ablution block with six toilets at a cost KES 1,000,000.

The Impact

The renovations have improved the hygiene standards and reduced congestion in the toilets. There is also a more conducive learning environment accessible to all pupils.
