About the project

The Challenge

Girls in the school were missing school because they could not afford sanitary towels. They missed classes during their periods which affected their education.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation, through the Ndoto Zetu initiative, donated sanitary towels worth KES 43, 000 to 90 girls.

The Impact

The girls attend school regularly. The access to sanitary towels has ensured they go to school even during their periods, they are improving academically.
