About the project

The Challenge

The Community Based Organization aspired to reduce the illiteracy levels in their area by having a well-equipped community library that would be accessible to all community members at no cost. The community had a room that had been improvised to a library but it neither had furniture nor books.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative handed over text books and story books worth KES 100,000.

The Impact

Availability of these books will cultivate a reading culture in the community hence improve the literacy levels.
