The aim of this training course is to prepare youth leaders/workers on how to deal with
religious issues in youth work and promote dialogue among young people with different
religions and beliefs.
The objectives are:
• To provide participants with educational support and open space for sharing and
exchange knowledge on inter-religious dialogue;
• To support the development of participants' knowledge, skills, attitudes and values in
the filed of inter-religious dialogue;
• To provide participants with useful tools that will help them to challenge ignorance,
prejudices and foster mutual understanding;
• To foster cooperation between European and non-European countries.
This training course was open for participants from different religious backgrounds and beliefs from different countries who are interested in promoting inter-religious dialogue in their communities and working on empowering different ethnic and religious groups. The participants were from Latvia, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Russian Federation, Macedonia, Ukraine, Serbia, Armenia, Tunis and Egypt.
Non-Formal methods, experiential learning, and the use of audio-visual material.
Raise awareness about the situation of people of different religious beliefs in local communities;
Development of participants' knowledge, skills, attitudes and values in the filed of inter-religious dialogue;
Exchange experiences and knowledge in inter-religious dialogue;
Learn about tools and methods to promote inter-religious dialogue in youth work;
Developing new projects to promote inter-religious dialogue.
As a trainer my role involved preparation of the program, developing and running different sessions and activities, and supporting the logistical team in the finalization of the report.
